Spring is Beck!
New year, new magazine! With the spring/summer issue 2021, the LUDWIG BECK magazine presents itself in a new look. For this purpose, the magazine has been revised both in terms of content and appearance. With the new division into the three sections "Inspiration", "Style" and "Pleasure", the magazine now reflects the entire diversity of the house.
While the "Inspiration" section is dedicated to current trends and shows what's new at LUDWIG BECK, the "Style" section offers generous fashion spreads, styling inspiration and beauty tips. The "Pleasure" section rounds off the magazine. It reflects what makes the department store so special: current promotions, the anniversary and the "My Ludwig Beck Moment" series, in which prominent Munich residents tell their own personal department store stories.
The aim of the magazine: to capture the character of the traditional department store - and thus make shopping in the city more attractive again.
An important part of the magazine is the staging of products. Unusual arrangements offer shopping inspiration and whet the appetite for new products and trends. In the spring/summer 2021 issue, we have therefore supplemented the beauty guides with still-life motifs by photographer Sarah Fürbringer and stylist Nora Khereddine.
In terms of color, the product images are based on the seasonal decoration of the department store. Based on the theme of the respective beauty guide, each product staging is given a suitable twist: For the "Longlasting" theme, for example, the makeup products were vacuumed for the shoot to symbolize their durability. For the "UV Protection" theme, sun-reflecting foil and the interplay of light and shadow set the scene for the products.

Our team further developed the existing magazine for the traditional Munich department store LUDWIG BECK. From the spring / summer issue 2021, the magazine now shows the entire world of the traditional Munich department store: from fashion to accessories and beauty to stationery and music. An essential part of the magazine, in addition to styling inspiration and trends, is the department store itself. Because in the year of the 160th anniversary, a lot has happened there.
